Identify yourself and the organization you represent.
Concisely state your position for or against the proposed bill.
Your recommendations should be summarized first then you
can
state your explanations.
Be brief avoiding clichés, excessive wordiness, vague
generalities
and flattery.
Finalize your presentation with a Summary of your position.
Prepare several copies to be given to each member as well as the
secretary.

Arrive early, to locate the hearing room before the designated
time.
Before the hearing begins offer your name to the committee
secretary, you may be required to register.
Know your material, do not read your statement.
When answering a Committee member's questions be confident
and
cooperative.
Get as many friends and associates and family members as possible
to be participants in the audience.
Be prepared to remain at the Hearing until a recess or
adjournment.

and considerations.
Restate your main points asking again for the desired action.
