A comparison of Wars

Comparison of Wars
and the Presidents who presided over them.

In one January during the Iraq War 39 combat related killings occurred in Iraq; while in Detroit Murders numbered 35.  Crime has been a greater enemy that kills within the borders of the United States.

Iraq had been attacking American forces in the No-fly zone before George W. Bush declared war on Iraq.  Iraq had been warned by the United Nations that military action would be the consequence, yet he continued to violate 17 United Nation resolutions over 9 years.  Some still say Bush should not have started this war.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt took America into war with Germany who had not once attacked America.  We were attacked by Japan.  450,000 American lives were lost from 1941 to 1945. 112,500 per year died to suppress foreign oppression.

Harry S. Truman saw the end to that war and began one in Korea that had an average of 18,334 American troops killed per year. A total of 55,000 U.S. troops were lost.

John F. Kennedy began the Vietnam conflict in 1962 to fight communist imperialism.  Vietnam had never attacked us.  Kennedy was assassinated before establishing a war record.

Lyndon B. Johnson creates the Vietnam quagmire  by restricting our forces.  Over ten years an average of 5,800 Americans died per year. 58,000 total lives were lost from 1965 to 1975.

Richard M. Nixon called it quits to the Vietnam conflicts, ending the war of confusion.  The Vietnam War did slow the expansion of the Iron Curtain.

William J. Clinton bombed Bosnia without Congressional, United Nations or French approval; and without declaring war. America was not attacked by Bosnia.

William J. Clinton declined the offer to capture Osama bin Laden by Sudan on three occasions.  Osama has since orchestrated multiple attacks against the U.S.

Since the 2001, September 11th attacks, President George W. Bush has liberated two countries; Afghanistan, and Iraq. He has crushed the Taliban that had ruled Afghanistan.  Bush defeated the forces of dictator Saddam Hussein, a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own citizens.  Bush crippled al-Qaeda which picked up the fight continuing the fighting in Iraq.  Bush Put nuclear inspectors in
Libya,
Iran, and North Korea without firing a shot.

The Democrats complain abut the length of the Iraqi War.  The initial War that deposed Saddam Hussein took less time than the 51 days Janet Reno used taking down the Branch Davidian compound in Waco Texas.

The evidence for chemical weapons took less time than for Bill Clinton's wife to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

The moral of the military has been higher under Bush than the during this war.  Military moral hit an all time low during the Vietnam War.

The media shows a skewed view of the war, a practice that began during the Vietnam war.  Such practices give the public a false sense of the success of the wars which has influenced public opinion against the military that maintains

Wars under Republicans have been more successful and have had less Americans lost than wars under Democrats.
